Some of these types of snakes require a lot of specific things for a zoo to keep them AND their insurance etc. coming from the conditions they were they’d also require a lengthy quarantine so even to take one a zoo would be agreeing to a lot of costs without any guarantees it was a good investment

Considering the restrictions and such making it difficult to obtain these species, they are likely to be incredibly inbred pet trade specimens with health problems. Certainly not the sort of animal you’d want to take on as an animal ambassador either
