I'm not sure the details of their politics are as important as their policy of use for subscription resources, especially if it was not made a point to buyers before hand- THAT seems alot more worthy of scrutinizing to me.

I think both aspects are important. I don't want my money (or my friends') going to someone who might donate it to a person/group who wants us exterminated. If they behaved perfectly well as a business, I'd still recommend not to give them your money.
