The disappointing thing I hear is from people saying to give up on tracing liability.. but I'd say if you can't trace liability of the actions or your AI actions, the fault is on the manufacturer for making the legally vacuous technology.
Can we court martial the dogs? Or do we court martial the operator, deployer, and commander all at once instead? Very important that there's a chain of command for blame when a human-deployed machine kills (or maimes) unintended targets. It's an extension of a person.
