my more pessimistic take is that they CAN tell the difference but they don't care about commodifying human expression - like the ONE thing we still got going on for us

I mean, I’ve spent a lot of time around these dudes, and I would argue they definitely can’t (see my Shakespeare monologue example), but even some of them can, they don’t care about human expression at all, because they’re not reading it, anyway. So it shakes out the same way
