This is a good distinction… the difference between “is there a big lever they can pull to steal the election” and “would they pull it” is important and we have to focus on the former. The latter is obviously a given.

But there will come a day—maybe it’s already here—when network effects and the overwhelmingly high signal:noise ratio are the primary drivers of new users with all kinds of different opinions, and I expect the “echo chamber” smear will be even less credible by the hour.
The flood of users is naturally going to select for people whose exodus was a rejection of the specific things we hated about the hellsite and the fascist thumb on the scale that makes it worse every day.
