idk, maybe there are still ppl out there for whom "society has fucked up standards for women" is a novel concept, but this is so committed to stabbing the tongue fully thru the cheek it doesn't seem to have anything new to say? wouldn't mind hearing someone else's opinion

This was kinda how I felt about it- I enjoyed it more for its commitment to excess. Despite a few genuinely sympathetic moments the bulk of it was incredibly mean/funny. It’s a movie with style, Fargeat is super talented imo, but seeing it with an audience was worth more than anything it had to say
