After 85 years of visitors politely not mentioning Westminster Abbey’s mistake, the ‘Bronte’ sisters are getting their dots back
It seems that the dots were dropped at some point in the design phase but, given the plaque was unveiled in October 1939, no one wanted to cause a fuss. It was never raised until January this year. Archivists at Westminster Abbey cannot think of time when they have gone back to correct a memorial.
