Yep, one time in middle school I had to hold my pants up with tape because my family couldn’t afford a belt or pants that fit me. My ROTC instructor made fun of me but then afterwards gave me a briefcase, and he got me Thanksgiving dinner from a food pantry for my family. Hospitality goes along way.
