I think there’s definitely been a covid effect here as well (I’m in BC, Canada), but dang, my kids get assigned full books. My olders are 10th and 8th. If it is that, one would think they at least it will just an unfortunate blip rather than permanently lowered standards. 😬

I had one of these cycles of panic when we were in Cuba and I couldn’t leave. The only thing that got me through it was watching old sitcoms that I was very familiar with. I don’t know why that helped. But ultimately I had to drug myself up all to hell.
