honestly json just sounds so horrible for a system ipc bus, and the reasoning (it's easier to read with strace (which is an abhorrent tool)) is wild from the guy who also made everyone learn his bespoke tooling to read logs lol

like the fact it's a format that can't store 64 bit integers without dumb workarounds because it's an offshoot of an incredibly cursed language that should've never left the web... why ??
