I think if I won the lottery or otherwise came into a huge amount of money, after setting some aside for retirement and making sure things are taken care of, I'd go to art school full time. it's one thing I always kinda regretted not doing, and I don't think I'll ever be able to otherwise
just made my first mortgage payment!! I'm so incredibly lucky to be in the position to afford a house. it's been so stressful, and I still feel displaced... we were in the last apartment for 7 years after all. but things finally worked out, and I'm thankful for that.
also not sure if I can handle this humidity. my bedroom is at 83%! running the dehumidifier niw but sheesh! I thought this house was better insulated than the apartment... good thing we're already planning to replace the siding and windows
omg it's been a day. mowed most of the yard before the upcoming week of storms. got wings and waffles with mom. then spent the rest of the day doing inside chores started a new farm in stardew last night (which if you know me, isn't a good sign for my mental health yay!) so I think I'll do that now
was this just bad timing with the seasons or does buying a house mean that yardwork becomes your hobby? we like to keep our grass long, but at this rate we'll have wild pokemon showing up
while I'm here, time for an update! in the last 6 months I: • finished some crochet projects • got a tamagotchi uni • went to Port Aransas • became a pirate • bought a HOUSE • got a PROMOTION • rekindled my love for gaming • raised a caterpillar and I have NOT: • finished unpacking 🥲
*looks around page* hmm... I need to dust in here... yooo! I'm uh... back? needed a place to shout my random thoughts into the void. and the creative juices are flowing, so expect a bit of art and crochet too 😘
