My eye doctor gave me the same speech, and when I picked the new glasses up, I was advised to start wearing them in a familiar environment to prevent injury… I put them on after the initial adjustment and walked out without an issue 🤷 Absolutely no adjustment period.

That said, my insurance would only cover progressives with the more narrow field of vision. I purchased the glasses with the wider range via an online retailer, and much prefer these over the insurance approved lenses. They were also 1/4th the price.
