So, speculative fiction writers, inquiring minds want to know... If your story has multiple new/creative/weird concepts you're onboarding to your readers, how do you do it? How do you avoid word salad, infodumps, or an ungrounded story?

I don't know that I fully know the answer to this question, but what I sort of try to do is start with one thread of story and follow it until it connects with another thread, and then spread out in an exploratory way
