Eeeee congratulations!
Another [not so] small victory for human rights. This is great.
It’s time for #GoodMorningNews, my well-established three day old tradition! Today’s good news: the EU’s top court has ruled that member nations must recognize gender marker and name changes made in other EU nations, making freedom of movement more of a reality for trans people. wapo.st/3NeaASe
The court sided with Arian Mirzarafie-Ahi, a transgender man who sued his home country of Romania for refusing to accept the gender identity changes he initiated in Britain.
Remember, folks: "Frontlist pays the dopamine; backlist pays the mortgage." - @kristadb1.bsky.social So I invite you once again to tell me about a book from your backlist (published two or more years ago). I'll RT. Tell us why you love it or what it's about or something. And LINK to it!

Me to school parents, multiple times over the last month: Our first meeting is Oct 1 at 6pm in the cafeteria! Don’t miss it! Me to school parents this morning: Our first meeting is tonight at 6pm in the cafeteria! Parent to replying to this message, at 3:45pm today: I don’t see the Zoom link. 🙄
Going to be at a school event tonight and will miss the debate. I’m counting on you, BlueSky, to make sure I don’t miss anything good (or terrible).

I’m not one to brag, but she really is. 😁
My 10th grader just learned that they are expected to read 8 books a semester in 11th grade. Her classmates were appalled at that number - my kid was also appalled, but for a different reason: she reads 8 books a *weekend.* MINIMUM.
