I realized this demographic existed during the 2016 primaries when I was high on ayahuasca in the desert with a bunch of random strangers and someone there told me all the people were debating Trump or Sanders. No mention of the presumptive Dem nominee.

I talked to people who were interested in either Trump or Sanders. No one is saying they were representative of Bernie voters overall, but there is a throughline (blow up the system) that connected those candidates in some people’s minds.
