When I can't sleep, I launch projects. (I've not been sleeping much lately, obviously!) I've been mulling the land acknowledgement practice for a while, and feel it should be more common in Hawaii. It's a niche cause, for sure, but at least there's a website now!
Land or territorial acknowledgements, also known as "welcome to country," are formalized rituals to recognize indigenous places and cultures in events and programs.
