Tony Isabella has said that Hawkman Vol 2 was planned as a five-year series. But then the whole COIE event made things complicated and he was told to wrap it up in a year. So he left. It would have been interesting to see how that storyline would have come together with invasion. But DC gonna DC.

I guess at this point I don't see how COIE would have affected Shadow War, but I didn't read either in real time. I haven't really read any of INVASION! in 30 years to recall if they referenced SW at all. Only really recall the POWER OF THE ATOM tie-ins. #DCComics
