The Biden campaign would be smart to highlight the windfall a new surtax on millionaires is generating in its first year.
And all the people paying said tax . . . still fucking millionaires. It's almost as if being a millionaire is fucking easy.
I don't know about yelling. My boomer friends/family see this as part of Maura Healy/Joe Biden plan to control the world somehow. Love to see where/how the money is spent before there is crowing

Whodathunk that there is tremendous excess wealth that states could tap into to fund public services.
And it’s not even “millionaire’s” tax…it’s on INCOMES over one million dollars. Doesn’t even touch wealth.
I really want this in Oregon, especially if it is combined with an equity focus and the kicker check. Think if we taxed millionaires and used the money to pay for service and the leftovers were redistributed to people in need.
If we could do this in every state with billionaires, we’d solve one of two problems: 1) fund public services shortfalls 2) get rid of billionaires Ideally, we’d solve both problems at the same time.
