No more React! Previous versions of lustre actually wrapped up react and provided its own state management and view api on top. It was nice because you got access to the react ecosystem but horribly brittle and hacky. Now everything is homegrown which means no npm required either!
Server-side rendering! Because we ditched react, lustre can run anywhere gleam can and spit out HTML as a string (or string_builder). Although not its primary focus, this means you can use lustre as your templating library whether you target erlang or js
