this weird review day ritual gamers have where it’s treated as the validation (or betrayal) of all the hype and the debate on its quality is already settled before they’ve even played it is so weird. at that point you don’t even need to play games, just watch trailers and check metacritic

It's bananas to use aggregated reviews in isolation for just about any reason. Any time I doubt this I go to one and read all the reviews by like El Conquistadores Gamines and BananaButtercupReviews

that's all gamers do though well that and harass people online
