A little joking because I’m okay with my own students stuff right now, but add in collaborations, student committee projects, and you need good notes and good summaries at the beginning of each meeting

I was definitely impressed the student noticed!! So honestly it was a good moment, just embarrassing and funny and yes, a good learning moment for all

I wish there was a journal of hypotheses. So many thoughts, not enough time or money to study them

I also have found that in training lab technicians and an undergrad, it was very helpful to have had that experience in my postdoc. My expectations are much more aligned with their skill level and their expectations than they otherwise would’ve been.

I have some different things to juggle and some different consequences if I drop the ball on something, but I’ve been juggling. And for me that’s worked out.

Teaching and service are what I find really enjoyable so I did those throughout my postdoc. And I think that made the transition to faculty easier.
