3/3 The people I meet in schools are resilient, good humoured and decent. They care about the children and young people they work with and they do their best for them. When they have a tough time, they deserve support and they deserve support that's tailored to them.

2/3 I've worked in and alongside schools all my working life. I've experienced my own health challenges and peri/menopausal problems while doing so. But in addition to my own experiences I've talked to hundreds of school staff over dozens of schools and learned from their experiences too.

1/? Schools are a unique environment. People working in schools experience unique challenges when they have any health problem - and perimenopause and menopause come with their own unique challenges! #edusky

The workshops I run are a great opportunity for those dealing with peri/menopause in schools to find solutions and strategies to help them cope. It also creates an atmosphere of trust and understanding between them so that they can continue to be each other's support system. #Edusky

ats-wirralschools.jgp.co.uk/vacancies/29... We are looking for a new Headteacher for our lovely school. It is a really exciting opportunity to take the school on the next part of its journey. I'm biased but we have brilliant children, families and staff.

Does you school need to sort out the way it deals with staff in peri/menopause? Have staff who are struggling and need support? Or you don't know for sure because they're not talking about it? Need everyone to have an understanding about perimenopause and menopause? tidycal.com/haclare/quic...

4/4 Some people also find that reaching for sugary snacks at times when you're stressed or eating on the hoof can make it worse.

3/4 Thirdly, you notice it far more than other people do, so don't draw their attention to it. Fourthly, learn a few ways to deflect the attention from yourself and play for time. Asking a question is one.

2/? It's like someone just pulled out your plug. Firstly, it's neither madness or dementia. Hormone changes affect the verbal memory store in the brain. Secondly, it's a problem that will get worse if you stress about it, so it's important to keep calm.

1/? You're in full flow. You know what you're talking about. You've got all the words stacked up in your brain ready and then suddenly they're not there. You've forgotten what you were going to say, what you just said and for a moment it feels like you've forgotten who you are. #Edusky
