2. CDC reports that 5 more children have died from flu so far this season, bringing the total to date to 8. Kids are really driving infections at this point, as you can see in the graph on the left.

The NYC DOH requires that all children attending daycare be vaccinated against the flu before 12/31. I wish the deadline were earlier.

3. Flu vaccination rates among kids are down this season from last. CDC data suggests a lot of parents are still saying they will definitely or probably get their kids vaccinated, but not sure what they're waiting for at this point. Meanwhile vaccination rates among pregnant people — YIKES.
