I realised that I needed something tiny to glue the books without getting glue everywhere... thought of a cocktail stick... went to the shop... ranted because you could only buy a pack of 4 x 100... thankfully they were near toothpaste... realised toothpicks at home would be better...

On the way home I bumped into a neighbour who obviously needed to talk... we stood on the street for an hour in the rain...he's a fascinating man... but I needed quite a while regather my energy... now feeling ready to continue with my model making...

@helenintgarden.bsky.social We have loads of toothpicks and cocktail sticks for similar reasons! A glass headed dressmaking pin is all quite good for applying tiny dots of glue - use the pointed end, the glass head gives you something to hold...
