A pleasant evening learning a new tune, although I think it will take me a while to play it at the speed at which it's usually played!

I don't think this one needs washing.......

Hurray - I've decided on the 5 folk songs for the next EP. The only issue is that 3 of them have the original lyrics but no tunes. I best get composing then!

To be honest, I was far more excited when Bellowhead started performing live again............

I went to our village fair yesterday and had go on the tombola. 2 tickets matched; tea and then biscuits. That's a total winner in my book!

I've added a new song video to my YouTube channel: Erlinton (Child 8, Roud 24). I found it in the Sing Yonder books (Vol 3) and intended to use @karlsinfield.bsky.socialyoutube.com/watch?v=kMv4...

I've learnt a few new fiddle tunes recently but these 2 are the faves from the new batch: Jump at The Sun (by John Kirkpatrick but I learnt it from a Mawkin recording) & Morris tune, Valentine, learnt from Jon Boden in a Zoom session. You can slide around in both! 😊🎻

My 12 year-old loves hers. But she, and her 15 year-old brother (and his mates), think it was cool that I saw them in 1991 just before they got really famous, so there's always an upside!
