Have you ever felt ashamed for gaming as your hobby because “you are an adult now”?

I get this comment a lot from my family members, but never felt ashamed of it, I just love it so much ☺️

not as ashamed as i feel about my other hobbies (online trolling, smoking weed, anime)

No ‘cause I make fan art for games so I know there’s a huge market out there! Plus even if it was for kids, some adults had to make it for ‘em! No shame in making or enjoying wonderful entertainment for any age! ✨✨

Not really, but i see some people raising eyebrows when they hear about someone above 30 years of age playing video games. It just happens😀

When I was in my twenties, I definitely had the feeling that I shouldn't be giving my time to games. Now I'm 40, and I have the feeling I shouldn't be giving my time to work when there is gaming to be done.

No, but there is an expectation from people older than me that one should stop playing them as they become an adult. Personally I see no issue with games.

I've never felt ashamed for gaming on pc, console, tabletop, or board game. I've never felt ashamed for watching anime/cartoons as an adult. I've never felt shame for being a furry. I've had people TRY to shame me for such things, but I've always pitied them for being so sad they need to bully.

The only time I do is when Im in a job interview and the interviewer asks “What are your hobbies?”. Knowing fully well that if I say video games Im immediately disqualified from 99% of jobs I apply for.
