New work! “Time slipped through our fingers like so much water”, acrylic and pencil on 24” x 36” canvas. Why the weird border in the bottom? Because this was a bigger piece I was unhappy with, so I cut it and reworked the part I liked.

My second solo show of the year is going up today at Artco Framing & Gallery in Tacoma, WA! It’s going to run through September and features over 20 pieces of my work from 2022-2023. I’ll be there for the artist reception on the 14th! Hope you can see it if you’re in the area!

WHEW. I hope someday to make enough money from my art to hire an assistant to do this part for me! That’s hard on the joints at my age to get these big canvases stretched on the floor.

I do printmaking as well as painting. My favorite methods are ink monotypes (not shown) and drypoint/collagraph on discarded cardboard. The PNW landscape is my subject matter, and I love using the same plate to show light in different views. #art #pnwart #printmaking
