Everything I learned about local history was European colonialist history. Indigenous history simply didn't exist in the curriculum. The genocide was completely glossed over in favor of regaling us with tales of FrancoAnglo pissing contests.

When I took psychopathology, that was often our assignment--pick a fictional character and make an argument for a diagnosis. My armchair autism diagnostics isn't so organized. It's more "I relate to them, therefore they *must* be autistic". Lol, very scientific.
My favorites are, "you're not *that* fat"--i am, indeed, *that* fat--and "you're so pretty though" which is like, I said I was fat, Crystal, I didn't say I was ugly.
I may be guilty of armchair psyching TV show characters and "diagnosing" them with autism.
I've been losing the struggle a lot lately too.
