King's Quest 3 Sure it would be terrible to play these days, but KQ3 was one of my first true gaming addictions and it is in no small way responsible for me wanting to write about games.
Xcom 2 I know the RNG hurts at times, but in my eyes Xcom 2 is sublime. It took the turn-based tactics genre in amazing directions and there are very few game moments that are as satisfying as setting up a successful ambush in this game. Another title I always install on a new PC.
Sleeping Dogs Another game that I can endlessly replay. The perfect mix of GTA and Martial Arts, Sleeping Dogs has a great story, excellent voice acting and a combat system that is just so satisfying that have have to do a full playthrough every 18 months or so. It's also like $5 on Steam right now
Alan Wake 2 This will be the newest game on my list and by god I love it. This is everything I love about video games. Creative, stunning, engaging, unique and utterly brilliant. It is the current game of the generation for me.
Jade Empire The most underrated game in Bioware's catalogue and still the only Martial Arts RPG I can think of, I love this game like few others. I have finished this at least 8 times, probably more. Great story, awesome Bioware twist that is equal to the Revan reveal in KOTOR
Tropico 5 Look, all of them are pretty good (except 2, which was just fine) but I feel like 5 nailed the banana republic simulator perfectly. Endless replayability and my perfect Sunday afternoon game. It is always the first thing I install on any new PC.
Deus Ex This game, more than anything, showed me what video games could be. Freeform, choose your own playstyle with an addictive (if crazy) story. Honestly it was like 10 years ahead of its time and still holds up (even if the UI is a little rough these days)
I haven't gone through your list yet James, but I assume every entry is just Sine Mora
When I worked in government we used to have special shredders and they would send the waste off to be used as road base, maybe there is a public facility that does the same.
You can get little charcoal spit ones from Bunnings for about $90 that are big enough for one roast. Good way to get going
