I just did some reading, and apparently, the original hardware is not used by and large. The sample of the kick is used. Then pitched, distorted, bent, etc. to create the space age bass. However, can that be recreated with a real bass guitar? Or the 808 hardware?

Update on the Protectobot set. The seller said they are fake. So I do not have to worry about box integrity. I can rip them out, and display them. Counterfeits are hit and miss. Some are not half bad. Others are garbage, like Devastator. I had to superglue it, so it would not fall apart.

I bought this set out of morbid curiosity. These look genuine, but some glaring red flags stick out. 1. the price is too low. $160 out the door. 2. New account. 3. A lot of relatively rare figures. I will make a video once this arrives and see if this is a rip off.
