Ahh I hated Balduq, it was so ugly. Ys X isn't a looker either but it's way less claustrophobic and it reworks those raid battles into something much less tedious

Personally I liked the verticality and traversal in IX, which I generally found more satisfying than VIII's and encouraged you to use the whole suite of characters.

The raids were very bad
