🦋 The Lepidopterist 🦋

A digital drawing with thick inks and full-black shadows of a figure in a victorian-inspired suit sitting at a desk in front of a wall of taxidermied butterflies and moths. They're sitting straight, facing the viewer in a very symmetrical pose, fingers interlaced, hands resting on the table. The main palette is purples, pinks and blues and the scene is lit by a candle on the right side of the desk. Half of the lepidopterist's face is in complete shadow, with his right eye (viewer's left) shining an ominous glow from the darkness. The desk also contains a book, an ethanol flask, various tools and a half-finished diorama of a human skull, tree branches, flowers and a monarch butterfly. They hope you're having a nice day and didn't happen to wander into his study by mistake. Lots of lost souls walking around these days...
