Two 🔭 facilities managed by ⁦‪@AURADC‬⁩ were featured on ⁦‪⁦‪@Jeopardy‬⁩ tonight in the “observatories” category!

The two screenshots say: "Arizona's Kitt Peak Observatory has 2 telescopes that specialize in searching for NEOs, which stands for this." (First slide)

One of the contestants thought NEO meant non-Earth objects, alas.

Me: I mean I'm really surprised that additional effectively retired scopes up there haven't been reused for that or...Space Force-y needs tho jesus the Space Force-ians literally told me to my face that they couldn't trust the quality of astronomical sky survey data, whatever-tf that meant.
