That almost instantly became one of those auto-block "if you can hold this opinion, I never need to hear anything you say about anything" takes.

I saw one douche on the bird site who only agreed with the AI part of the strike and not for people being paid for their work or anything. 😡

I really wish I could remember where I read the article (or any keywords to bring it up again) that described how computers work vs brains. I don't remember much of it but I remember understanding that, on a fundamental level, AI is still science fiction until we can make computers differently.

I'm friends with some guys on the more tech side of things and I just don't know how to get them to see that ' people can just retrain ' is fucking ghoulish, especially when talking about the arts.
