The original Old Deuteronomy in the West End. Wow.

It's been a rough time for some great performers :-(. Sorry for the loss.

I met him way back in the day when he played old Deuteronomy. Got his signature on my playbook at intermission. He stayed in character the whole time. Marvelous actor.

So glad he shared his gift with us. Everyday my kids played Nightmare Before Christmas, and even had pantomime to accompany. Thanks for sharing the vid. A fitting tribute.

I saw him do "I Am What I Am" from La Cage in a charity concert when I was in high school. He was outstanding and people I knew who were tech for the event said he was a absolute delight backstage.

The St. Louis native also appeared on Broadway as Old Deuteronomy in ‘Cats,’ in ‘Ain't Misbehavin’ ’ and in ‘Guys and Dolls.’
