The dock worker strike ending before it really got started should be a huge blow to my conspiracy buddy who was sure this was a sign of them "shutting down all shipping and air travel". I say "should", but unfortunately that's not how the mind of the conspiracy theorist operates.
This guy used to play for the local soccer team which folded a couple of years back and I'm tempted to reply and inform him that this lack of follow through is a big reason why we performed so badly in the league.
