This debate seems destined to become chronic. I just don’t see why so many people are invested in the lab leak idea. But, every time investigation supports zoonosis (well understood, almost universally the source of other human epidemics) some question arises. (Gift link.) wapo.st/3TzpExl

The stuff they learn about zoonosis is going to be essential because that's much more like to be the way we're going to be getting pandemics in the future. (But we should be worried about lab leaks, of course.)
