Petražycki’s considered one of the fathers of sociology of law (along with Ehrlich). Both Gurvitch and Timasheff tried to modified the works of Petražycki. Fittipaldi had written extensively on Petražycki however He never referred to his work as sociology of law but as a psychological theory of law.
