Yep. That’s why they’re able to force inmates to work for like 10 cents an hour or some other obscenely low number. Slavery never went away, it just moved to the prison system.
Somebody definitely should make this argument in court. And keep making it for every state that agrees to hear this case. Either he finally concedes or he’s ineligible. Pick one.

The latest in St. Louis, where police rammed a car into a gay bar and then arrested the owner. The police's felony charge has already been reduced to a misdemeanor by the prosecutor. The owner is now out — but "had been in the city jail for approximately 36 hours."
