Admittedly, online submissions has made this 1000 times less unpleasant! 😉🤣

I'm relearning this. Writers Ink turned me into a "performance writer." My career in writing never required me to submit - jobs came to me, so I was lazy about sending anything out. Now... I'm trying to learn to open the drawer, submit, forget, repeat. It's a discipline.

It's not terrible. And I LOVE your "found art."

Oh, btw, I'm talking about the stupid start page. My husband and I aren't on the same PC at all. But if he shops Wayfair, I see ads for the stuff he looked at. Same with other retailers. Amazon, too. You might not know, if you were on public Wi-Fi. But we laugh about it.

10 has that for anyone who bothers to set it up that way!

It's fun when you're a curious writer and Google weird things. But: Gmail has the best spam protection. And I see the "spying" comments from iPhone and Alexa users than anyone else. Sad fact: hard to shop for surprise gifts for anyone using Windows 11 on the same WiFi.

They can't figure me out. The rotation goes: military officer; rich dude by private jet/yacht; offshore drilling rig worker; military guy who has toddler/puppy and likes to blow shit up; buxom woman making duck lips in truck stop lavatory... Missed opportunity. I'm waiting in "nerdy librarian."

With Gmail, that was always the deal - emails could be read by a machine (obviously) and the data used to show you ads. It used to work amazingly well, before pay for placement.

Ahhh, explains why I don't value his opinions. Thanks for the explanation.
