my biggest hangup during EA (that almost convinced me the game would flop before it all came together) was that the 5e aspects of the early game were so fucking boring. i’ll always have a soft spot for baldur’s gate as a series, and bg3 was a masterpiece, but 5e was the weakest part of it. preach.

Fellow children of the 60s and 70s who learned from the usual gang of idiots to be skeptical and subversive and not take life too seriously: there is a truly marvelous exhibit on Mad Magazine at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA. Rooms and rooms of stuff. It's delightful.
