It always seems weird to me that teenagers would want to buy a house instead of studying or travelling or doing age-appropriate silly shit. Like no one should have to be sensible before they turn 25.

They'll be able to flick it in a couple of years and be debt free with spending money for a great trip

I (17) was made to leave school and get a job after a successful 6th form(1983). Got kicked out of home 6 months later. Discovered renting sucked & started saving to buy a house. Took me working 2 jobs for 7 years but I bought my first home at 24. My fiancé and I split up a year later & he got half.
