Kinda? Depends on the game, i would say that the biggest problem is the disconnect from real money. You always have to buy a premium currency, and then you spend it on lootboxes.

Also the amounts you can buy of said currency and the price of the lootboxes is made in a way that you will always have a bit left that you cant use.
