Using alternative assumptions about hydraulic characteristics in zones identified in the geophysical data, Hang ran simulations to evaluate how moisture dynamics varied across different components of the subsurface and surface. 2/3

Perhaps unsurprisingly, results show subsurface representation doesn't significantly impact ET, but there is a dramatic and dynamic interplay between streamflow and rock moisture storage. Important and interesting implications for how we treat the critical zone in models. 3/3
