#28: 28 Days Later (2002) One of the best modern horror films released this century. This British post-apocalyptic zombie/horror film has so much good going for it: direction from Danny Boyle, acting from Cillian Murphy, cinematography. It has become all too real for all the sad reasons. #Halloween

#27: The Babadook (2014) This Australian horror film is based on director Jennifer Kent's Monster. Essie Davis as the frazzled mother is excellent, as is Noah Wiseman who sees a terrifying humanoid monster in their home. The special effect monster should also be given special credit. #Halloween
