Watching people use this stuff to try and shred Starmer's reputation for integrity is grim. Headlining it as if he's swimming in cash is preposterous. And comparing him to Boris Johnson, a moral sewer who wouldn't even reveal who his donors were, is straight up bullshit.

Fine to report this stuff - Private Eye has been doing it sensibly for months. Starmer should probably have seen the danger of the freebies and grasped the row earlier. But this whole underlying 'they're all the same' message is dangerous and wrong. There's no comparison at all.
