The two Canary albums of 1940s-50s Arab-American women, Come on Honey & Get a Glass and Relax, are among the least popular collections I’ve put out. But that didn’t keep me from adding another 30 minutes of music to them today. (Each is now 90 minutes of goodness.)

Wafa Nageeb (Wafaa Najeeb?) is a cipher. I know absolutely nothing about her except that she made at least 5 discs for Alamphon. Sisters-in-law Emily Najeeb (b. ca. 1903) and Rose Najeeb (b. ca. 1907) were in the Bronx in 1925. Maybe she's one of them? Or maybe not. Baffling.
