The sad truth is some trans issues - girls sports and gender transition-related medical care for minors - don’t poll well with independents. I keep reminding people that Obama did not support same sex marriage 16 years ago. I’m still glad he was elected.

Think about where Republican anti trans ads get their footage and quotes from. The dems definitely talk about it, whether it’s on headlines or not. For those “borderline controversial” topics you mentioned, I just need dems to actually support us. Making ads or not about it doesn’t matter to me
