My wife and I adopted a second cat over the weekend and I need everyone to see this adorable and extremely affectionate little cyclops

It’s a really small thing, but being able to effortlessly add a QR code with {qrcode} to my Intro to Micro Quarto course slides so students can easily access them is so cool. No hassle with emailing materials and it’s cool seeing lots of students actually scanning it and using the slides.

Just an observation, and not even sure it’s a useful one: whenever mental-health-in-grad-school discourse is taking place the conversation always seems to be dominated by faculty/folks who already have PhDs. Always very few current students in the replies/QTs.
