Network standards & practices depts are (nominally) supposed to do this but mostly they just cover product claims in ads. Only the major broadcast nets have them, though. ABC’s S&P guide, for example: there’s really only one paragraph for political ads files.disneyadvertising.com/MediaKit/ABC...

Local broadcast stations are mandated by law to air campaign ads from legally qualified candidates at the lowest unit rate. It’s a loss for them if the ad falls under the statute. The statute applies only to FCC licensees. PACs are not included. www.fcc.gov/media/policy...
